The Secretary of State orders murderous cull on magpies and crows

SECRETARY OF STATE, CAROLINE SPELMAN, HAS OREDERED THE MURDER OF MAGPIES AND CROWS IN FOUR COUNTIES OR POSSIBLY THE SCOTTISH BORDERS!

Magpie: true colour is iridescent blue and greenSELECTIVE SPECIES GENOCIDE

Magpies and crows are being wrongly blamed for the serious decline in songbirds, thus - on the murdering orders of Spelman - magpies and crows will be trapped and killed in the first trial cull of its kind to protect British songbirds. Target sites are Hampshire, Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Herefordshire or the Scottish Borders. It is unknown when this will take place.

Magpies and crows belong to the corvid family. They are highly intelligent, being very quick to catch on and solve puzzles. The magpie smartly illustrates self-awareness, as this bird is able to identify him/herself in a mirror.

It is true to say that magpies, crows and jackdaws will, given the opportunity, predate on eggs and chicks of songbirds. However, a scientific study undertaken in collaboration between the British Trust for Ornithology, Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust and St. Andrew’s University vindicates magpies and crows as being the force of nature responsible for the decline in songbird species at a national level. Interestingly, the finding did not preclude individual predators having effects on local populations.

The organisation, Songbird Survival, strongly supports the cull. Don’t be deceived! Although this organisation purports to champion rural traditions, it hides behind a smoke screen and has a vested interest in ridding the sky of competitive predators in favour of protecting tamer, hand-reared game birds for them to shoot. Simply put, they are blood sport enthusiasts.

Evidence supporting this is that the head gamekeeper at Holkham Estate, Norfolk, has been charged with a series of wildlife crime and firearms offences following a police investigation. 41 year-old Nicholas Parker of Main Road, Holkham, has been charged with the following: killing a Schedule One wild bird, taking game out of season, possessing ammunition for a firearm without a certificate, possessing a shotgun or rifle for committing an either way wildlife offence, possessing a shotgun without a certificate, and contravening the Wildlife and Countryside Act. He has been suspended from his job since the allegations came to light last year. He has been released on police bail and will appear before King’s Lynn magistrates on Wednesday 9 February 2011. News story here.
The 45 year-old Viscount Coke took over the Holkham Estate in Norfolk when his father, the Earl of Leicester, retired in 2007 and lives with his family in Holkham Hall on the estate. It has been reported that he is a principal trustee and spokesperson for the charity Songbird Survival – notorious for its views against raptors – News story here and here and the Viscount’s father express his views about raptors in a revealing article here. Our thanks to the WorldPress for this information.

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds is against the cull. One of their spokesmen said in an interview with The Telegraph: “There are dark forces at work here. There is a lot of rhetoric going on about all our songbirds being eaten by nasty predators. We think these declines are driven by changing farming practices.”

Yes, we at NLPR agree, but this is only one section responsible for the decline in songbirds, as it isn’t exactly rocket science to deduce that there are other contributing factors, such as:

  • The increase in birds of prey from conservation efforts when songbirds are in rapid decline, resulting in further population reduction.
  • The loss of habitat and hedgerows – the latter by over 21%.
  • Shortage of insects due to over-use of pesticides and chemicals.
  • The killing of an estimated 55 million songbirds by cats every year.

The bare fact of the matter is that mankind alone is responsible for unbalancing nature – humans interfere in every possible way to suit their own agendas until they have shaken, twisted, turned nature upside down and altered it from all angles.

Putting all this aside, the murderous order to kill wild sentient beings which have the inalienable right to be what they are and so live in accordance to their nature is wickedly cruel. We have no doubt that there are dark forces at play, for this nonsensical, illogical cull is born from the seed of self-interest of the ugliest type.
